There are quite a few documents you will need to gather before filing for a reverse mortgage. You will need to have a current driver's license or picture I.D. that includes your birth date, a copy of your Social Security card, Medi-Care card (or another document that reflects your Social Security number), mortgage information for the loan we will be paying off (if there is one), a copy of your fire insurance policy, and a utility bill.

If there are any other specifics about your property, then additional documents will be required. Your reverse mortgage lender will be able to tell you if you need any additional documentation, so please contact them to get a full list.
