Do I have to sell my home to repay my reverse mortgage?

If I pursue reverse mortgage and am granted the loan, will my family or I have to sell my home for repayment? I would like to keep my property in the family.

Though the sale of the home is the most common way of repaying the loan, it is not the only way, and you are by no means required to do so. You are able to repay the loan in any way you wish. Some of your other options are to take out a forward (or traditional) mortgage or refinance the home. You are welcome to pay it back using other funds as well, such as from a savings account or an inheritance.
