After getting a reverse mortgage, the borrowers are welcome to do whatever they'd like with the loan money. So yes, it is possible for you to invest the funds from your reverse mortgage in the stock market if you choose.

In regards to whether or not it is wise to do so, please remember that a reverse mortgage is a loan that must be repaid with interest, so it would be beneficial to you to only invest these funds if the net gain after paying off your loan is substantial. The reverse mortgage was designed to help seniors pay off their mortgages and help them in their everyday lives as costs of living increase, not necessarily to be invested, so this is a tricky question. We are, however, not financial advisors, so I suggest you speak to one about this before you move forward with a reverse mortgage.
